BIG TIME RUSH TO COVER FOUR BEATLES SONGS IN FIRST TV MOVIE

oranges » December 18, 2011 » Filed under: News » 0 comments

The original fab four are about to get a little love from a much newer quartet: EW has learned exclusively that Big Time Rush— the boy band behind Nickelodeon’s hit comedy series of the same name — will sing four Beatles classics in their first TV movie, Big Time Movie, which they are currently shooting in Vancouver.

The Beatles songs they’ll sing in the movie are “A Hard Day’s Night,” “Revolution,” “We Can Work It Out,” and “Help!”

“We are excited to help introduce the Beatles music to a younger generation,” says band member Logan Henderson.“They were such amazing artists we feel so honored to have this opportunity.”

“How do you not get excited about that?” creator/exec producer Scott Fellows tells EW. “We wanted to make sure we were respectful to the music and celebrate it and do something that, hopefully, Ringo [Starr] and Paul [McCartney] would appreciate.”

As for plot, the movie finds the foursome — Kendall Schmidt, 21; Logan Henderson, 22; James Maslow, 21; and Carlos Pena, 22 — landing in London to kick off their world tour just as they get caught up in a James Bond-style mission to save the world. Specifically, their bags are switched at the airport and the boys are stuck with a device that could end civilization, if it got into the wrong hands. The movie, just like the series, is full of action and even includes a special agent named Penny Lane, in a nod to the Beatles. “We’ve got spy cars, we’ve got ninjas, we’ve got back flips, and we’ve got explosions,” says Fellows. “It’s really an homage to all those great spy films — but with music.”

“We’re calling this A Hard Day’s Night meets Austin Powers,” quips Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon’s president of original programming. “We’re doing cool and comedy and making it into a Big Time Rush caper.”

The show Big Time Rush averages 4.1 million viewers a week, and it’s launch drew 6.8 million viewers to Nickelodeon. Naturally, the upcoming movie — set to premiere in spring 2012 — will also include the title track from the forthcoming Big Time Rush album, Elevate, which hits stores Nov. 21.

So… The Site Looks Rather Empty Right?

oranges » December 18, 2011 » Filed under: Site Updates » 0 comments

Yeah… So the site got hacked… The good news? I got it back as you can see. The bad news? I may or may not have accidentally deleted all my previous posts? Well I guess you can’t have everything and I am really glad to have the site back. It seems pathetic that some glory seeking hackers will hack anything just for prides sake. Yup, they just hacked the site and basically used it as a trophy of their “achievement.” Let me just say now that any person that will hack a young girl’s fansite for their own glory is pathetic.

Sorry for ranting, I’m just upset! I will try to post some old posts and some new ones… And more pictures into the gallery too!

Love you rushers :D Mel <3

Last night, Big Time Rush stars Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, Carlos Pena, and James Maslow had the honor of performing at the 89th National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington DC. There, the group performed their hit “Beautiful Christmas” in front of president Barack Obama and his family, spoke with host Carson Daly, and joined all of the artists and the first family for a singing of “Jingle Bells” and “Winter Land.”

BTR Celebrates Kendall’s Birthday in Vegas

admin » November 30, 2011 » Filed under: Articles,Media,News » 0 comments

Yes Kendall’s birthday was some time ago, but the guys just recently celebrated it in Vegas! The boys had probably been too busy with “Elevate” and the “Big Time Movie” to give Kendall the celebration that he deserved, till they took a private jet to Vegas!

There, the boys dined in Lavo at the Palazzo and brought a group of more than 30 friends to Tao at the Venetian where they danced to remixes of “Elevate” and surprised Kendall with a birthday cake shaped like a record player.

The boys of BTR left for Los Angeles soon after to begin rehearsals for their upcoming holiday shows, including the Jingle Ball.

Watch a quick video of the guys before they departed on their trip.

Also check out the photos from Kendall’s birthday party [here]

The gallery is a little empty at the moment, but I am going to replenish it with many more photos than it had before so stay tuned!
